| Double Dutch Rabbitry |

| Hi, we are Robert & Sarah Petersen (formly Sarah Cleavenger). Sarah specializes in Black and Blue Dutch and has been raising rabbits since March 1993. Robert specializes in Black and Chocolate (with hopes for Blue and Lilac) English Spots. He's had them before, but just got started up in them again last year. The English Spots go under the rabbitry name "Sporting Spots Rabbitry". We are a 60 hole rabbitry, spread out through three buildings, located in Seattle, Washington. However, we are currently averaging around 20 Dutch. The Spots are still a work in progress, which we only have 7 right now. Sarah has had many breeds come through her rabbitry, such as Netherland Dwarfs, Dutch, Harlequins, Tans, Mini Lops, Rhinelanders, and Silver Martens. She has also had a Checkered Giant, Britannia Petite, and Belgian Hare for a short time to learn more about them. The Belgian Hare is still here, as a pet. Dutch have always been her main focus, and has had them since July 1994. The main line she used to create her Dutch line is Lloyd Gregg's “Trelawn”. She's also crossed in rabbits from Don & Carol Johnston, Pete Nelsen, Jill Pfaff, and Rick Lehmann over the years. Most of her rabbits go back to her original stock which came from Donna Brak and Jan Coffelt’s lines when she first started in the breed. For the English Spots, we're working with rabbits from Stephanie Bartlett and Becky Wick's lines. Sarah became an ARBA Judge in November 2007. She's number 855. |
